SARUA emphasizes collective action and networking among SADC's higher education institutions (HEIs) for regional innovation and resilience. We are an inclusive representation of the SADC higher education region, supporting both public and private institutions. Our mission is to empower the regional sector, promoting socio-economic and environmental growth while navigating a shifting educational landscape. Membership fees are determined by an equitable formula based on student enrolments and the World Bank's GNI per Capita classification.
